Beeswax
Beewax (Cera Alba), another miracle of nature made in its pure form by our beautiful bees. This is a natural product made by our bees. The wax is formed into scales by eight wax-producing glands in the abdominal segments of female worker bees, which
discard it in or at the hive. The bees form this into perfect hexagonal sections of honeycomb to store honey, pollen and for their queen to lay eggs and raise brood.
Bees will also cap their honey with wax when they have reduced the water content and wish to store it.
When we harvest our honey we scrape off beeswax cappings and then render this to make candles, beeswax wraps, lip balms and furniture polish.
